Collections are a way for you to organize kata so that you can create your own training routines. Every collection you create is public and automatically sharable with other warriors. After you have added a few kata to a collection you and others can train on the kata contained within the collection.

the issue was caused by mutation of the input list. this has been fixed by hobovsky here (a copy of the list is now passed to the user)
By exploiting fundamental facts about knight moves, the king can avoid being checked by the knight, no matter what moves the knight makes. I'm not sure I can say more than that without giving the secret away.
if modifying non-linq data were a problem, would the specialists at ms put so much effort into making it possible?

Not magic but technically something we try to avoid (LINQ queries that have side effects).
