@LesRamer: I'm gonna copy/paste your explanation and read it now and again, over and over, until it reads like English. It's a bit (as in wayyyy) over my head so early in my coding journey.
If you know all that, why did you use recursion? It's slow as hell. Too much overhead, at least in C# (other languages too, probably?).
My code is much easier to read, and about 37% faster.
